Hvar City Walking Tour

Culture, art and history surround Hvar. Hvar town is the principal destination. It is one of the favourite destinations on the Dalmatian riviera. A fiercely proud and determined people, who are eager and courteous to show off their “Hvar town”. Hvar’s Fortica castle is the best place for the most amazing view of the entire city and island archipelago.


Hvar city walking tour starts with a car transfer to Hvar’s Fortica castle. After learning more about the castle and its history we will begin our gentle stroll down to the city center through lush pine woods until we reach the old part of the town called Groda. At Groda we will stop at Benedictine nunnery museum, where you will see their signature works of art: agava pattern laces, which are proteced by UNESCO as the cultural heritage. Afterwards we will discover the city square, the Arsenal, the Theatre, and the Cathedral.

DEPARTURE TIME: 09:00 for morning tour or 17:00 for afternoon tour (Exact departure time will be agreed upon at time of booking.)

PLACE OF DEPARTURE:  We will pick you up at your hotel, villa, private accommodation, bus station,… Your departure point will be decided at time of booking.

DURATION: This is a half day tour (2 hours).
